About

HELLO! I’M HANNA.

I am committed to helping my clients get their financial house in order by educating, empowering, and advising them on building strong foundations for growing their business. With over two decades of experience, I’ve mastered many skills that help me best serve my clients.

01. ACTIVE LISTENING

The word “auditor” derives from the Latin word for “listener” and “hearer.” We’ll spend much of our time listening to your needs and concerns.

02. CURIOSITY

How can we improve? We’ll always be seeking the best solutions for your unique challenges.

03. HEALTHY PROFESSIONAL SKEPTICISM

We trust nothing. We will be proactive and conduct each review with discernment and vigilance.

04. CRITICAL THINKING

To be most effective, we must set aside our own biases and consider all perspectives. Even the most advanced technology can’t replace this complex skill.

05. EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

We’ll always be aware of, in control of, and able to express our emotions judiciously to manage stress, communicate effectively, and defuse any conflicts.

06. EMPATHY

Audits and financial reporting can be scary, so we are in this together.

07. BUSINESS ACUMEN

We know our numbers, and we know our roles in helping your business grow and succeed.

08. INITIATIVE

We go above and beyond. Not only do we exceed our clients’ expectations, but we continue to challenge ourselves to learn and grow professionally.

09. CLEAR & EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATIONS

Our verbal and nonverbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills all impact our work together. We’ll make certain you understand what we’re doing.

Reducing my client’s confusion is

A Great Day for Me

Helping my clients understand their current financial situation and how they can do better can happen in several ways, and I design my accounting packages to meet their unique needs. My clients range from startups to established law firms, from solo-preneurs to mid-size, family-run businesses, and I provide viable solutions for each. I begin by actively listening to them, and learning and evaluating any systems they already use. I apply my experience, knowledge, and skills to then recommend how to implement, streamline, and manage the processes and practices that are most efficient for them. Tailored packages may include financial management, forensic accounting, and strategic business advice.

Let me give you an example. Recently, I worked with a small law firm whose books were a hot mess. The systems and processes they’d put in place when they first opened their doors hadn’t grown to meet the needs of their firm today. They were still doing everything on paper! I put on my investigator’s hat and started the forensic accounting work, which included verifying balances, learning the firm’s software, and evaluating their big picture needs. I then presented them with my recommendations, began educating them on how to understand and implement processes, and advised them on how to use their financial data to make informed decisions. We’re now up and running with a new system that is designed to save them time and money, reduce confusion—and make sure they avoid getting into any future messes.

For another client, a brand-new business, I designed systems and processes that included formulating the payable and receivable functions, setting officer salaries, and managing cash flow. They are on the right path from the get-go, and I will work alongside them to make sure everything we’ve set up supports their growing business.

My work is completely transparent, so you’ll always know what’s going on.

In addition to strong accounting and business skills, I have a straightforward, no-nonsense approach. My work is completely transparent, so you’ll always know what’s going on. Regular and two-way communication is key, and I remain committed to partnering with you as we design and implement the systems that will positively impact your business. Your success is my success!

I’m disciplined, meticulous, and committed to adhering to the strictest standards of my profession. I received my BS in Accounting and Finance from the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business, and I received my CPA license 16 months later. I spent the first 10 years of my career as an auditor, and I have mastered the skills critical to success. Before establishing a private practice, I worked for public accounting firms in Columbia, South Carolina, and San Francisco, California.

That’s me. Now I’d love to get to know you. Let’s talk about how we can get your financials in order so you can get back to business.
